With this fact of business life in mind many savvy business owners are changing the way they process debit cards. In recent years as debit cards have become a larger percentage of the way people transact retail sales a new generation of cashless ATM systems have been developed. An article in The Wall Street Journal predicted that between 10 and 26% of small retail businesses could go under in 2009. In these economic times can any business afford to let $20,000.00 or more slip though their hands while they continue to pay ever increasing credit card charges.
